Dr. Sayan Chatterjee

Dr. Sayan Chatterjee was born in Kolkata, India, in 1980. He received the B.E. degree (gold medal) in ECE from Vidyasagar University, India, in 2003 and the M.E. degree in ETCE from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, in 2005.  He obtained a Ph.D. degree in Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2015. He has served as a Scientist in SAMEER, Kolkata, from 2005 to 2009 and was involved in the design of strategic sub-systems for different defense agencies. In 2007, he was deputed as a Visiting Scientist at the California State University, Northridge, CA, USA. He joined as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Jadavpur University in December 2009. Currently, he is serving as a Professor at Jadavpur University. He has served as secretary and treasurer of the IEEE Kolkata section from 2014 to 2017. He was awarded Outstanding Volunteer for his service in the IEEE Kolkata section in 2014 and 2019. He received a Career Award for Young Teacher from AICTE in 2014-15. He has been awarded as Young Achiever Award- 2018 from the Institute For Exploring Advances in Engineering (IEAE). He was deputed to Muma College of Business, University of South Florida in 2019. He was awarded as SAKURA science alumni credential from Japan Science and Technology in 2020.  Currently, He is also serving as Vice President, Institutions Innovation Council, JU. He has also been appointed as Coordinator of the IC Design and Fabrication Centre, Jadavpur University. He has been nominated as registration chair in VLSID 2023. He has also been involved in several International conferences as an organizing technical committee member like MMS, ICMEM, COMSYS, IMARC. He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of IEEE Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology (SIGHT), Institute of Engineers, Universal Association of Computer and Electronics Engineers. He has published 39 Journals, 4 book chapters. His research interest includes RF VLSI, VLSI system design, microwave and millimeter wave antennas, SIW technology, microwave passive devices, and Swarm drone communication.
